Mainhattan at night... most romantic view of Frankfurt Am Main..
Date:
25th October 2002 - 3rd November 2002
Places:
Frankfurt, Cologne, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Bonn, Mainz
"Frankfurt am Main is
a city often criticized for its lack of personality, that's the reason
it will surprise to you. One of the best skyscrapers landscape of europe,
a big quantity of small museums and a perfect reconstructed historical
center will be enough to make a weekend worthy. Don't forget to taste the
original Apfelwein."
Goethe
Haus(Frankfurt): A 4-floor house full of Goethe remembrances.
Museum
für Moderne Kunst (Frankfurt): It is always nice to see new ways
of making art.
Schirn
Kunsthalle (Frankfurt): The most modern art for your eyes.
Recommended
Bistros, Bars & Restaurants:
Das 21. Jahrhundert (Oeder
Weg, 21 - Frankfurt): cool bistro for cool people.
Rosendorn (Ostermannplatz,
Cologne): pseudo spanish tapas in a nice coffe shop.
Scaramouche (Wilhelminenstr.15,
Darmstadt): hot chocolate and magazines.
Ginkgo (Bergerstr.
81, Frankfurt): standard bistro in an original decoration.
Costa Coffee
(All around germany): Very fashionable, good latte machiatto but pretty
uncomfortable.
Schwan (Martk
7, Mainz): Not so cool, but cheaper. The slowest service in Europe.
Cafe Journal (Hauptstr.,
Heidelberg - Marktplatz, Mannheim): Both fashionable, but better in Mannheim
in all senses.
Keepers (Schweizerstr.
78, Frankfurt): Futuristic decoration, chill-out music, just a bit of light.
Wagner
(Schweizerstr. 69, Frankfurt): The most traditional apfelwein
and german food. Always crowded.
Nordsee
(All around germany): Fast food made of fish. A good alternative
for McDonald's.
